P2 (U24): Explain the use of converging technologies within an identified sector.
Convergence technology definition: Convergence is a coming together of two or more distinct entities or phenomena. Technological convergence is increasingly prevalent in the information technology world; in this context, the term refers to the combination of two or more different technologies in a single device.

Converging technology has increased in popularity throughout the years in this day and age. Many companies use it to their advantage to gain a wider audience as well as being able to expand their company through the increase of sales. An example of a company that uses convergences is Netflix. Netflix is possible and adapted to be able to used on the television, laptop and mobile devices. By Netflix making it possible for their audience to access Netflix on a range of multiple devises they are making is possible for more of their target audience to be able to use it. This is due to the fact that some of the audience may not have a television to view Netflix on but instead they are able to watch it on their phone. By Netflix making is possible for more people to access Netflix they are expanding their target audience which brings in more customers. This results in a larger income which they could use to expand the company and potentially even expand using more converging technologies.

P2 (U20): Create a plan for a cross media advertising campaign in response to a client brief Target Audience The brief states that Carter Soft Drinks requires an advertising campaign for their latest fizzy drink called Phizzwizzard. They want their product to be sold only in cans as they’re aiming for a retro audience of people in their 30’s as their main audience. The product would also appeal to teenagers from the ages of 13-18 as fizzy drinks are products that entice them. Carter soft drinks also ask to create three types of advertisements, a promotional video, billboard and magazine advert. All products have different target audiences. The advertisements both aim for the same audiences, the difference being on who views both products.
